iPoDD Parenting Class
The infant care class is for all teenage mothers and fathers who are parenting a child less than six months of age or who are expecting a child. Class topics will include:- Getting to know your baby
- Baby's sleep/wake cycle and activity level
- How your baby uses sleep
- Your baby's attention span
- Your baby's sight and hearing
- Your baby's cry and comfort measures
- The importance of fathers and shared parenting
- Your baby's health care provider
- Letting others help
- Falling in love
When is it?
Classes meet on Thursdays 6pm-8pm starting 01/29/09. Child care IS provided!
Where is it?
Classes are held at Douglas Methodist Church 11th and H St NE.

Who can be a part of iPoDD?
Anyone who considers themselves a parent, both men & women, young & old, parent & grandparent are welcome to participate.
What happens during parenting classes?
Practical topics such as understanding your child's social and emotional development, building self-esteem, and disciplining your children will be studied and discussed in class through the use of guest speakers, videos, reading, and other instruction.
How much does it cost to be in iPoDD?
Everything is absolutely free. There is no charge to participate.
